1st Time Out
TW and have been frequently discussing the lack of discipline that Abe requires. He is just a good kid and minds very well so far. I usually only have to tell him something one time and he obeys. I have all of these books on disciple just setting on my nightstand waiting to be read but I wanted to wait to read them until it was an issue. Well yesterday I picked up Abe at Mom's Day Out and he was in timeout. He attempted to bite another kid but was caught in the act. His teacher said that it was the first time it has every happened. I just hope and pray that biting does not become an issue. But it looks like I am going to start reading my 1st book, "Shepherding a Child's Heart" by Tedd Tripp this weekend.

Now the parenting begins :) Seriously, its like the first year or so of being a parent is really just about 'childcard' -- making sure they are well-nourished, get enough sleep, etc. But it never really felt like actual 'parenting' to me until disciplining came into the picture.
Our big challenge right now is arguing. So much so that I've scraped my regular homeschool curriculum for next week and, instead, we are doing an entire week on 'Listen & Obey, Not Argue & Complain.' Fun stuff :)
don't worry...we ALL have to sit in time out every once in awhile! my girls visit the corner from time to time at home, more useful when used less often:)
i LOVE the shirts. in fact, they are wearing them today. and the overalls are darling. and thanks a bunch for the dish towels. love those too!
