Play Date

Abe and I went to visit our friend Jody and her girls yesterday. We had a blast! Kinley, who will be 3 in June, entertained Abe the whole time. I have never been to a play date that I was able to fully enjoy until now. You usually spend most of your time and attention making sure your little one is not getting into trouble. But Kinley was so great and flexible. She would put together a puzzle and Abe would rip it apart. It was all apart of the fun. She is also an awesome big sister to Kallen who just recently had hip surgery. Thanks Jody for letting us come and visit.

Verizon is out - Hughes Net T.B.A.

My verizon card almost completly stopped working the past 4 days. I have not even been able to upload pitures to make a new post. TW returned it today and we are going to try Hughes Net. It will be a few weeks before it is up and running.

Happy Birthday Luke

WOW! Luke turned 7 on March 26th. We attended the Birthday Party but yet again I forgot my camera. Luke called and reminded Uncle Wayne yesterday about their annual tradition to go to Wal-mart and let him pick out his own present. So before the Wal-mart trip we took him for Pizza.

Easter Weekend

The Smith's had a fun filled Easter weekend. My mom, Abe and I left Thursday night and went to the lake to stay the weekend. I forgot my camera (what kind of blogger am I) so I don't have any pictures to share. TW went to Little Rock Friday - Sunday for the 1st round of the NCAA tournament. He also forgot the camera. We are going to have to get better at this. Anyway, GO Tigers GO! On Friday, Abe and I went to Jackson to spend the day with Leslie (my collage roommate) and her little boy Brayden. We had a great time just getting caught up. Later that afternoon we headed up close to the Tennessee River to visit my Aunt Mary Neil. Abe rode the tiniest pony...what fun! On Saturday we just rested and hung out around the trailer. On Easter Sunday we headed home for Church and then to lunch at Granddaddy and Granny's. This was the first major holiday since my Uncle Doug (50) passed away from cancer back in January. It was very hard on our family but it really put things in prospective. If Jesus would not have risen on Easter Sunday we would not have the assurance that Doug is in heaven. Praise the Lord! He is Risen!

Back Track II - Low to High

I just could not pass up posting these pitures of Paw (Kent) teaching Abe how to hit a tennis ball. It is nice having a tennis teaching pro in the family.

Back Track

Now that the blog is up an running I want to back track a few weeks. On Saturday, March the 8th, we had a snow day. It was absolutely awesome. TW, Abe and I were out of the house by 7am along with Jessica, Bentley and Macauley.

What was so great about the snow:
1. It snowed 4 inches in Covington, TN
2. It was a dry snow so you did not even get wet.
3. The snow stayed around most of the day.

What more can you ask for?

Abe decided to have a seat.

Kress, Macauley, and Abe sledding down the hill. Oh what fun!

After a few hours, when the roads cleared up, we took the party to Maw and Paw's house. They have several big hills in their front yard. How many grandmothers do you know that still love to play in the snow?
